New Developments in Drug Testing and Workplace Retaliation and the Presidential Election- What the Candidates Have Said.

 

 

Human Resources professionals must be current in recent developments in available.

This session will provide an overview of the following:     

  • Has OSHA Now Prohibited Post-Accident Drug Tests?
  • What the New (8/2016) EEOC Guidance on Workplace Retaliation Means for You
  • 2016 Election and What Might Happen.  A general discussion of the presidential election and how the candidates' commitments might affect US employers (Affordable Care Act, tax exemptions and credits for childcare for working parents and other key campaign commitments) and the impact that the congressional elections (and any division of power) might have on those goals. 

Chris Harristhal, an attorney with Larkin Hoffman, is a Certified Labor and Employment Law Specialist and a Member of the Minnesota State Bar Association.  Chris represents management in both litigation and counseling on employment law matters and other areas of business litigation. His clients range from manufacturing companies to the service industry. He practices in multiple states, has appeared in numerous federal courts and is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court. He also conducts training for managers and human resources professionals.
