67 local HR & business professionals gathered at The Inn on Lake Superior on April 22nd for the 2015 NHRA Spring Conference. This year, the NHRA partnered with Twin Cities law firm Larkin Hoffman to put on Catch Employment Law Updates Before They Catch You!
The day-long session and huge chocolate bars on the tables drew rave reviews from many of the attendees as representatives from Larkin Hoffman shared their expertise on a wide range of employment law topics (as well as magic tricks).
Judy Aspling, the Past President and Treasurer, was awarded the inaugural NHRA Leadership in Human Resources Award after the lunch break by President Arik Forsman. Judy accepted this well-deserved recognition to quite the ovation from the crowd.
Local vendors ADP, Mellin, Northforce, Solutions Insurance, Essentia Occupational Medicine, Sand Creek Group, University of Wisconsin Superior also took part by providing information about their services.
Finally, a raffle was held with all proceeds benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank. Nearly $400 was raised! A fantastic day rounded out by charitable giving. Another great conference is in the books!
